Guided Tours

Explore Florence!

The Walking Tour

Centre - Non-plus ultra

This walking tour is perfect for first-time visitors of Florence, as we will cover the major highlights of the city. We will start from the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo and walk to Piazza Santa Croce, one of the most beautiful squares in Firenze. From there, we're going to visit the marvellous Piazza Della Signoria with all its beautiful statues and buildings. Then we're going to explore the narrow medieval streets and towers of the city, back where the great poet Dante Alighieri was born! Last but not least, we'll go and take a look at the beautiful Piazza del Duomo: Saint John's baptistry, Giotto's belltower and of course the one and only Brunelleschi's dome!

The other side of town

This time I'll take you to the other side of the river called Oltrarno (literally “over the Arno river”). I'm going to show you the most vibrant part of the city. First, we'll walk along the riverside until we arrive at Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence. Then we'll cross the bridge and walk to Piazza Pitti: from the square, you can see one of the most beautiful and majestic Renaissance palaces of Florence, the Palazzo Pitti. That's where the powerful Medici Dynasty lived for more than one hundred years! Our last stop will be the lovely Piazza Santo Spirito, one of the beating hearts for social life in Florence

We will have tours all days of the conference and will start at 15:30 near the registration desk.

The guide

Guided tour guide: Lorenzo

Hi, I'm Lorenzo.

I'm 37 years old and I was born and raised in Florence. I've been living here since I was a kid. I love this town, and Tuscany in general. I play the guitar, sing, play volleyball and absolutely love to travel and discover new places, even in my own town! I love my job, it allows me to share good times in beautiful places, with people from all over the world!
